Conyers is associate professor of Anthropology, with a specialty in geophysical archaeology.  He worked in petroleum exploration using seismic data processing for 17 years prior to applying some of those ideas to GPR.  The GPR projects he has worked on recently have ranged from the Middle East and north Africa to South America and many domestic US archaeological sites.
