Sébastien Lambot was
born in Dinant,
Belgium, 1976. He received the M.Sc. and Eng. degree in
agricultural engineering in 1999 and Ph.D. degree, magna cum
laude, in the engineering sciences in 2003, both at the Université catholique de Louvain, Belgium. He worked on the
hydrogeophysical characterization of soil using ground
penetrating radar (GPR). He was awarded a two-year European
Marie-Curie Fellowship to pursue research in hydrogeophysics,
which he carried out in the Department of Geotechnology, TUDelft,
in Delft. He is now Research Group Leader at the
Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany, and Invited Associate
Professor at the Université catholique de Louvain. His current
research interests include GPR forward modeling, electromagnetic
characterization, inversion of GPR data, and integration of
hydrodynamic and geophysical inverse modeling. He served as the
General Chairman of the Third International Workshop on Advanced
Ground Penetrating Radar (IWAGPR 2005), Delft, The Netherlands. |
